Sometimes we don’t pay much attention to rocks. Some rocks have existed for millions or even billions of years and yet we often step on them without even giving them a second thought. If we slow down though, and really take a look, we will see that many of these rocks are quite beautiful.
This set of nine images (presented as three triptychs) was made recently during a single morning at Sun Point in Glacier National Park, Montana. Although this mini-project was completed in one day, its origins go back to 2010 when, while at the same location, I made this image: “The Rocks Beneath our Feet”. I have always liked that image and I’ve always wanted to go back to shoot more so I’m really glad that I finally did.
